Lagos Police Arraigns Shittu Sunday Olawale for Stealing and Forgery

 

The Police in Lagos State Nigeria have arraigned one Shittu Sunday Olawale (a.k.a. Wale Shittu or Shittu Olawale or Shittu Sunday) before a Magistrate Court sitting at Ogudu on two counts of stealing and forgery.

Shittu Sunday Olawale was accused of stealing over a Million Naira belonging to his employers, BSG Multistream Ltd. He was employed as an Account Officer in February 2023 and it took him just 6 weeks to steal the money belonging to his employers and other customers. To conceal his criminal activities, Shittu Sunday Olawale then forged two GTBank transaction receipts which he made by himself and presented to his employers as evidence of payment from the bank.

During police investigations, Shittu Sunday Olawale confessed to the stealing and forgery. He was then arraigned before the Magistrate Court at Ogudu on Monday 15th of May, 2023. He has since been remanded in Kirikiri Correctional Centre awaiting trial.

In a Public Notice by BSG Mulltistream Ltd, the Company warned members of the public not to transact with the said Shittu Sunday Olawale on behalf of the Company. They should not give him any money or information for and on behalf of the Company. Shittu Sunday Olawale’s appointment with the Company has been terminated with effect from May 15, 2023 and anyone who deals with him henceforth does so at his/or her own loss.
